Preparation Instructions

For the Pie:

Heat the milk with a cinnamon stick and a piece of ginger. Do not let it boil and set aside to infuse the flavors, about 10 min. Remove the cinnamon and ginger to use the flavored almond milk in the recipe.

Peel the apples and cut into strips. Apart, mix the remaining ingredients (eggs, 30g melted butter, coconut sugar, flour and sweet powder) and mix with a magic wand.

Wrap the liquid mixture in the apples. In an English cake (rectangular shape), place the apple with the liquid mixture.

Place the laminated almonds on top. Take to the oven preheated to 170º C, about 45 min.

For the Sauce:

Heat the dates in water and bring to a boil.

Drain the water, but reserve it.

Grind the dates and add the hot water until it has the consistency of a sauce. Add 1 cup of butter and a pinch of salt flower. Mix well.

If you prefer that the sauce has a more velvety texture, pass with a mesh strainer. Reserve the sauce in a covered glass jar.
